I just returned from a 5-day “Coaching Success” seminar with Robert Holden, author of “Happiness Now” and “Success Intelligence.”

What a remarkable human being.  For 18 90-minute sessions, he was 100% present in the room, sharing his brilliance despite a horrific case of the flu.

If I could capture Robert’s main message, it would be the relationship between love and everything else we value in life.  For example, one does not often think about success in connection with the heart, but here is just one of many things Robert said about that connection:

Success is not about driving yourself harder.  It is about listening to your heart.

There is no such thing as a broken heart. What is shattered is the picture we had of how things were going to be.

There is no such thing as a dark night of the soul. It is a dark night of the ego.

One of the many activities we engaged in was to write a prayer from our hearts to our selves.  Here is mine:

 A Prayer from My Heart

I love you unconditionally.

There is nothing you have to do or think or say.

I see your beautiful shining self,

and that is enough, that is all.

I long for your happiness,

I smile when you smile,

I laugh when you laugh,

I dance when you dance.

I embrace you in my open arms,

where you can rest safe and secure.

Lay down your burdens,

surrender your fears.

You do not need them any more.

For I am love, and I am you,

and you are love, and that is all.

This is my prayer.
